Not bad, but watch the fine print on renewals

I've used GoDaddy for a couple of years for my hobby site, and it's okay. The hosting is average, not the fastest but decent, and my uptime has been moderate, I've had a few short outages. Their VPS is acceptable, it works for my low traffic. The performance is fair, nothing to write home about. The main issues are the high domain fees and the expensive renewal costs, they really hit you after the first year. Plus the tax charges are high, I feel like I'm paying extra every time. I had a random account suspension once, and it was a hassle to sort out with support, which is inconsistent, some reps are great, others not. Overall, it's stable but costly, and I'm not sure I'll renew when my term ends.

GoDaddy is decent if you can handle the costs

I have a couple of small ecommerce stores with GoDaddy and while I would not call them the best, they are reliable enough. The shared hosting is okay for my low traffic sites, though I had a random account restriction once because I added a new product too fast? It was weird but they fixed it. The domain registration fees are high and the renewal cost always makes me cringe, especially with the tax charges on top. But I have to say the VPS hosting I tried for a test site was acceptable and gave me fair performance. The support is hit or miss, sometimes I get someone who really helps, other times I am on hold forever. I think GoDaddy is a moderate uptime hosting provider, my sites are up most of the time. Its not perfect but it works for my needs.

Mixed hosting experience with GoDaddy, not impressed

I signed up for a VPS with GoDaddy thinking it would be great. The performance is acceptable, my site runs fine but I have had a few slowdowns. The uptime is moderate, I have seen some outages that were annoying. The cost is high, especially the domain fees and renewal prices. The tax charges are also a pain. Their support is a mixed bag, I had one good experience but a bad one where they could not fix my issue. I also had a random account suspension that made me lose access for a day. Overall, it is a fair performance hosting company but I am not happy. I will switch when my contract is up.

Good for beginners but beware of hidden costs

I got my first domain from GoDaddy and it was a breeze. Their website builder is super simple and I had my site up in no time. But I quickly learned that their hosting is very average. The performance is fair but not anything to write home about. My site never crashed but it was not lightning fast either. The uptime was moderate I had a few brief outages but nothing that killed my business. What really bothers me is the high domain registration fees when you renew. It feels like they hook you with a low price then jack it up. Also the tax charges are high which adds to the cost. I have had a couple of occasions where my account was temporarily restricted for no clear reason. Their support team eventually fixed it but it was stressful. Overall I think GoDaddy is a decent web hosting performance for the money but you have to watch your wallet. I am still using them because my site runs stable enough.

Fair but overpriced for basic needs

I use GoDaddy for a personal portfolio site, nothing too heavy. The shared hosting is acceptable, performance is okay but not blazing fast. I’d call it a fair performance hosting company, but honestly for the money you could get better elsewhere. The domain registration fees are high, and renewals are a killer. I once had a random account suspension issues happen because they thought my site was sending spam, but it was just a contact form. That was a hassle. Their support is inconsistent, some reps are good, others just waste your time. It’s a stable but costly hosting provider, and I’m only staying because I’m too lazy to move. Would not recommend to a friend unless they have money to burn.

Fair performance hosting company with moderate uptime and expensive renewals

I needed a quick domain and hosting setup for my hobby project and GoDaddy seemed like the easiest choice. The process was super smooth and I was live in no time. The web hosting performance is decent, my small site loads fine and I haven't had any major crashes. The uptime has been moderate, I'd say around 99.5% which is acceptable for a non critical site. Their VPS hosting is acceptable, I tried it for a short while and it handled my traffic okay. But man, the renewal costs are expensive, I was not prepared for that jump. Also the domain registration fees are high, they charge a lot for .com names. The tax charges on top of everything are also high, it adds up quick. I had one random account suspension issue when I tried to change my contact info, it was weird but support fixed it fast. Overall, a stable but costly hosting provider that works for basic needs.

A decent place for domains but watch the renewals

I have been using GoDaddy for a few years now and I would say it is a mixed hosting experience overall. The initial domain registration was easy and their website builder is fairly intuitive for a newbie like me. However, the high domain registration fees are a real downside, and when it comes time to renew, the expensive hosting renewal costs really hit you. I had to triple check the tax charges on my invoice too, which felt a bit high. Still, for the marketing tools they bundle in, I think it is a fair performance hosting company if you can snag a coupon on the first purchase.

Works fine but the hidden fees are a joke

I've been using GoDaddy for a year now and it's a decent web hosting performance for my needs. However, the expensive hosting renewal costs are ridiculous. They also hit you with high tax charges hosting service that aren't obvious upfront. I had an occasional account restrictions hosting situation when I tried to cancel a service, which was frustrating. The uptime is moderate, could be better. Overall, an acceptable VPS hosting experience but I'm tired of the random account suspension issues. It's a stable but costly hosting provider that I'm planning to ditch.

Good for beginners but the costs pile up quickly

I started with GoDaddy because it seemed easy and it is but I quickly realized they are an average hosting service with a mixed hosting experience. The shared hosting is okay for a small site but the moderate uptime hosting provider is not perfect. Their acceptable VPS hosting worked for a while but I upgraded later. The fair performance hosting company label fits because you get what you pay for. However the high domain registration fees and expensive hosting renewal costs are real. I also deal with high tax charges hosting service that make the bill bigger. I have had occasional account restrictions hosting that were a hassle and a random account suspension issues that took support hours to fix. Their inconsistent hosting support means you never know what you will get. Still decent web hosting performance and stable but costly hosting provider. I stay because I am used to it.

Mixed experience but I keep coming back to GoDaddy

I use GoDaddy for my ecommerce site and honestly its a mixed bag. The shared hosting is average at best, sometimes the site loads slow during peak hours but for the most part it gets the job done. I had a random account suspension once because they thought I was doing something fishy with my orders but it was just a glitch, they fixed it in a couple hours. The domain renewal fees are a bit steep and the tax charges always seem higher than I expect, it drives me nuts. But I have to admit their customer support is decent when you get the right person. I tried their VPS hosting for a side hobby site and it was acceptable, nothing groundbreaking but stable enough. I think GoDaddy is fair performance wise, just not amazing. Still, I have been with them for three years and no major disasters, so I stick with it.
