I have had a love hate relationship with GoDaddy. The shared hosting is average but does the job for a small site. The performance is fair but not amazing. What really bugs me is the high domain registration fees and the expensive hosting renewal costs. They also hit you with high tax charges which feels unnecessary. On top of that, I have had occasional account restrictions hosting where they locked my account for security reasons but were super vague about it. The support was inconsistent and I had to call multiple times. The VPS hosting is acceptable for the price but nothing groundbreaking. I would call them a stable but costly hosting provider. Not terrible, but not great either.
