I've been using GoDaddy for a couple of years now and honestly it's been a mixed bag. The hosting service is average at best, I've had some periods where my site was down for a few hours which is frustrating when you run a small business. The uptime is moderate not terrible but not what they advertise. Their VPS hosting is acceptable if you don't need anything fancy but don't expect blazing speed. I did appreciate that setting up my first domain was pretty straightforward but then I got hit with the renewal costs and wow they really jack up the prices.
