I’ve been using GoDaddy for shared hosting for my personal blog and it’s been a mixed hosting experience. The performance is decent for a small site, it loads fine and I haven’t had major downtime. But the uptime is only moderate, I’ve had a few short outages that were annoying. The prices are high, especially the domain registration fees and the renewal costs are insane. They also charged me high tax charges without warning. The worst part was when I had a random account suspension issue, they locked my account for no reason and it took two days to get it sorted. Their support was inconsistent, one person was helpful but the next was clueless. Overall it’s a fair performance hosting company but I’d look elsewhere if you want better value.
