I’ve been with GoDaddy for a few years now, mainly because I got a cheap domain deal at the start. Honestly, their hosting is average at best. My shared hosting site goes down maybe once a month for a few minutes, so it’s not terrible but not great either. The real kicker is the renewal costs. They jack up the price like crazy after the first term, and on top of that, they add these weird tax charges that make the total way higher than expected. I tried their VPS once and it was okay, steady but not worth the premium they charge. Support is hit or miss; sometimes you get a helpful person, other times they just read from a script. I’m thinking of moving soon, but it’s such a pain to migrate everything.
