I signed up for GoDaddy because I needed a domain and hosting quickly and they make it easy to get started. The initial setup was smooth enough and my little blog was up and running in no time. But after the first year the costs started to add up. Their renewal fees are just too high for what you get and I was surprised by the extra tax charges that appeared on my bill. The shared hosting works okay most days but I have noticed some slow loading times and the occasional downtime that makes me wonder if I should switch. The support team is hit or miss, sometimes they are helpful and other times I feel like I am talking to a script. For a beginner I guess it is acceptable but I would not call it a great deal. I am looking into other options now.
