I have been using GoDaddy for about three years now for a few different sites. I would say they are a decent web hosting performance option for beginners like me. The average hosting service has worked fine for my simple sites. I have heard people talk about the mixed hosting experience but for me it has been mostly positive. The moderate uptime hosting provider thing has been true in my case. I have had a couple of short outages but nothing major. The high domain registration fees and expensive hosting renewal costs are definitely noticeable though. I was not expecting the high tax charges hosting service to be so high. I also had an occasional account restrictions happen when I tried to change my email address. That was annoying but support helped. I have had no random account suspension issues thankfully. The inconsistent hosting support has been a bit of a roller coaster but when I got a good person they were great. Overall I think they are a fair performance hosting company that is stable but costly.
