I signed up for GoDaddy because I needed a quick domain and hosting. Their hosting is average but I've been impressed with the moderate uptime, my site has been stable. The VPS hosting is acceptable, I run a small forum on it and it handles the traffic fine. The domain registration fees are high though and the renewal costs are expensive, that's the main downside. Also the tax charges are high, it adds a lot to the bill. I had an account restriction once for a payment verification and a random account suspension that was annoying. Their support is inconsistent, one time I got a great tech and another time I was on hold forever. Overall it's a fair performance hosting company with decent web hosting performance. Just know it's stable but costly.
