I started my small online store with GoDaddy a couple years ago and honestly it was perfect for learning the ropes. Their domain registration is super easy and their website builder is pretty intuitive even for someone like me who is not super techy. The hosting itself is decent for the price you pay initially but man those renewal costs are a shocker. I wish they were more upfront about the jump in pricing. Also the tax charges caught me off guard a bit. But overall the performance has been stable and I have not had any major downtime that hurt my business. Their customer support is hit or miss though sometimes you get someone really helpful and other times you feel like you are talking to a robot. Still I would recommend it for people just starting out.
